Tenacious Win for Be Fabulous
The contribution made to Cape racing and breeding by owner/breeder Peter De Beyer, can be described in many ways, not least... 'Fabulous'.
Now that was 'Kotzen' Fabulous!
Be Fabulous is by the ill-fated South African Top Five Sire, Kahal, out of the Rakeen mare, Ramp Model. She’s from the family of dual KwaZulu-Natal Stakes and dual George Azzie Memorial winner, Studio Star, and counts in her family the names of Classique Story, Signor Amigo and Hammer Belle.
5 Winners in 4 Weeks!
The form of Backworth-breds continues to flourish as we move into February with five winners in the past four weeks from not many runners!
Style Flash Wins on Debut for Adriaan van Vuuren
Adriaan and Rika van Vuuren’s Backworth-bred filly, Style Flash, lived up to her name Thursday when ‘flashing’ home on debut at the Vaal, winning in fine style over 1200m on the sand.
Be Fabulous... Absolutely!

"It's always a relief when the last foal of the season is born"
It is always a relief when the last foal of the season is born, where Miss Unimac delivered a beautiful A.P. Answer colt.
Even more exciting for the foals, was our first full sunny day in what seems like months. Here in a nursery paddock are 4 of the month old foals!! Merriment and her colt bonding, Fancy Flutter hiding behind mother, Collection Prive’s a bit pensive, and Ramp Model’s showing off her blaze!
This season Merriment is visiting King’s Chapel, Fancy Flutter and Collection Prive are visiting A.P. Answer, and Ramp Model will be making the trip to Mauritzfontein in Kimberley to visit Ideal World.
