Miesque’s Approval - Going Places

Backworth had a great day on the racecourse Friday with our runners continuing to perform across the country.

Filling the number one spot was the Wendy Whitehead-trained Miesque’s Approval colt, Big Ambitions, who tore up the Greyville Polytrack to lead a four horse cavalry charge under jockey Stuart Randolph, beating home Count Zafonic (Count Dubois), Lucky And Healthy (Kahal) and favourite Your Worship (Overloard).

Big Ambitions, a half-brother to Grade 2 Ipi Tombe Stakes victress, First Again, the highest rated filly of her generation, is a Backworth-bred graduate of the 2013 National Yearling Sale.

Stamford Bridge (Solskjaer), Act Away (Atso) and Floristry (Muhtafal) made up the “2,3,5” spots for trainer duo Des McLachlan and Duncan McKenzie earlier in the afternoon Fairview.

Congratulations to trainers Wendy Whitehead, Des McLachlan, Duncan McKenzie and all the connections.
