A VISIT TO NEWMARKET, DALHAM HALL STUD AND THE NATIONAL STUD

A few sights from Dalham Hall Stud and Newmarket Racecourse

“Dalham Hall Stud… what an impressive establishment!”

During our recent trip to England, Keith and I were fortunate to be able to take up the invitation to visit Darley’s Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket. What an impressive establishment!

It was a memorable day, and a privilege to be in the presence of such fine Stallions, with the likes of Dubawi, Exceed and Excel, New Approach, Authorized, Halling, Shirocco and Kheleyf on parade.

Darley’s Pedigree Manager, Judy Brannigan was a very hospitable hostess, and after the Stud visit, she took us racing at Newmarket, where we enjoyed watching some competitively carded races, where the inclement weather was no hindrance to the local’s enthusiasm!

We were able to take in the gallops, a quick visit to the National Stud, and were able to visit other highlights in the area.

We look forward to attending the Tattersalls sale, and hopefully introduce some new bloodlines into our broodmare band.
